Senior Living Storytelling
ResidentReel creates professionally produced video for senior living communities — the kind built for your homepage, your tours, and the families who need to see the real heart of your community.
The Stories No One Sees
A resident who spent 40 years as an ER nurse — now being cared for, and still quietly giving advice to the staff. A couple celebrating their 62nd anniversary in the dining room. A memory care resident who doesn't always recognize her daughter but still sings every word of Danny Boy.
These stories are real. They are happening in your building every single day. Most of them disappear, undocumented, into the past.
Your marketing materials show the amenities. The floor plans. The activities calendar. But the families choosing your community — often in the most emotionally difficult season of their lives — need to see something else.
They need to see that it's human.
"The families choosing your community aren't just comparing square footage. They're looking for evidence that their person will be known here."
What We Create
This isn't a social media clip. It's a produced, crafted piece of storytelling — with sound design, intentional pacing, and real people saying real things. The kind of video that stops a family mid-scroll and makes them think: this is the place.
A single resident, interviewed with care. Their life before. What they love about your community. What they'd tell a friend who was considering the move. Three to five minutes that feel like a conversation, not a commercial.
A cinematic portrait of your community — the people, the rhythms, the culture. Designed for your homepage hero, your sales office, or a prospective family's first impression before they ever walk through the door.
The people who chose to work here are part of the story too. A video that introduces your caregivers, your activities director, or your dining team — in their own words — builds trust before the first tour ever happens.
How It Works
Every community is different. Every resident has a different reason for being there. The process starts with listening — and never stops.
We start with a call. No pitch deck. Just questions about your community, what you're proud of, and what story you most want the world to know.
Before the camera ever comes out, we do the work to understand the story. Through calls with your team, we learn who your subjects are, what makes them tick, and what moments are worth capturing — so filming day is purposeful, not exploratory.
We capture the story with a professional camera, thoughtful framing, and real conversation — not a script. People are most themselves when they're not performing.
We shape what we captured into something that earns its runtime — with music, pacing, and an arc that holds from the first second to the last.
You receive broadcast-quality files ready for your website, your sales team, and wherever the story needs to go next.
Who This Is For
You know your community. You know the stories. You've probably said — at least once — "we should really get that on video." But producing professional video is expensive, time-consuming, and rarely feels like it captures what you actually wanted.
ResidentReel is built for that exact moment. For the marketing director who is creative, who cares about their residents, and who wants something to show prospective families that goes deeper than a drone shot of the building.
You don't need to know anything about video production. That's our part. We just need your passion for the place — and an introduction to someone with a good story to tell.
This is a good fit if you...
About
ResidentReel was started by a videographer and creative who spent years telling stories in other worlds — and discovered, almost by accident, that the stories happening in senior living communities were among the most extraordinary he'd ever encountered.
After producing a documentary-style video for a senior living community in Ohio, something changed. The conversations with residents — the things they'd seen, the lives they'd lived, the way they talked about the people around them — stayed long after the edit was done.
What these communities needed wasn't another promotional video. They needed someone who would actually listen — and then do something worthy of what they heard.
That's what ResidentReel is. Not a production company. Not a marketing vendor. A creative partner who genuinely cares about the people in your building and wants to help their stories outlast them.
